Social value project for the ARC Centre

DGP were pleased to support Claritas Group and The Hyde Group with a recent social value project for the ARC Centre.

The ARC Centre is a grassroots community space in Islington, London, designed by locals, for locals. Volunteers at the Food Bank feed 300 vulnerable people in their own community each week.

On Claritas’ request, DGP’s Christopher Hitches visited the centre in Islington and met with creative Director, Damien Brown, who designed a bespoke storage space to cater for the large quantities of food being delivered throughout the week. Two carpenters from DGP, funded by Claritas Group worked for five days on the project, building this cupboard unit constructing Damien’s vision.

Social Value Advisor, Chichi Onyenemelu for The Hyde Group congratulated DGP on their fine workmanship saying, ‘It will make a real difference to the food bank’.
